Say Goodbye
Syllables of starlight pierce the page,
comets of punctuation dance on lines;
Black holes swallow thoughts
that are better left to die;
Galaxies are born from your modesty;
Some smiles grow brighter in the dark,
drunk on the warmth of celestial brandy;
One sip and you can fly;
Poetic phrases orbit the Earth
keeping our feelings in motion;
They come with gravitational pull,
escape but you cannot say goodbye;
One sip and you can fly,
escape but can never really say goodbye.
