Saving Each Other
happiness of cardinals
draws me out
of my self-imposed
hypnotic dance state
come, I say
to my soul mate,
I will save you
He grabs my heel.
because I am a lifeline,
and he knows it.
believing we can fly,
I pull him out of
his self-imposed
childhood prison.
Forever changed,
a piece of the sky now
transforms into the
oneness of ourselves
