Saturated In Silence
A great stillness surrounds me
as I lie in the meadow’s grass.
No noise; no calamity!
For off into the horizon, the sea
shimmers in sunlight like blue glass.
I breathe wild flowers’ scent! Real life I do not miss
because - for my thoughts - serenity is the food
nourishing me as I linger in nature’s long sweet kiss,
surrendering myself to utter bliss.
Saturated am I in solitude.
