The new SAT test features an 'adversity score' which factors a student's economic and sociological background -- codewords for race -- into the total score.  Outrageous!!

S.A.T. test - remember your score The one you waited breathlessly for It determined which schools you qualified for Ruled four years of your destiny, if not more... Well, friend, you can breathe easier now Sigh deeply, emit a Cry Of Contempt, of Disgust, utter Scorn For how the old S.A.T. has been shorn -- Of any semblance of academic integrity Turned into a politically correct 'adversity score' ~ What a shame! What a pity!

I hope you're not suggesting that impoverished minorities don't deserve to go to college - and let's not forget the recent scandal where wealthy parents essentially bought their children's college placement (and in the process STOLE that spot from someone - most likely an impoverished minority - who worked hard to earn it the right way)

I mean the news story where wealthy parents paid to have their children's SAT scores changed so they would be admitted when their original scores were too low. If you're worried about unqualified people being admitted, its happening right now but its coming from privileged people breaking the rules to get their kid in at the expense of someone else who worked hard to legitimately earn their spot. Just look at the disaster in the White House to see what bending the rules for privilege leads to.

Socioeconomic background is no basis for admitting anyone into a college that he/she is not qualified for. Just check out the miserable graduation rates of those admitted to universities via affirmative action... Our universities will become a laughingstock if we continue to lower standards. Do you want doctors & engineers who don't know what they're doing?! That's what socialist countries have. I don't want it here. ~ gw

It certainly is disgusting --- those who seek to make race and/or poverty determinants for college entrance simply weaken the quality of America's universities (further). Idiots!! ~ gw
