Santa's First Stop

'Twas Christmas Eve when Santa left the North Pole,
the warmth of a cozy hearth fire and his lovely spouse.
He told Rudolph the destination of his immediate goal
was to make his first stop at the nearby Schmidt house.

They landed on a tiny roof with two feet of fresh snow,
because all the reindeer thought that Santa had to pee.
When he saw where they were, he laughed, "Ho, ho, ho."
"Thanks, Rudolph," Santa cried, "for always thinking of me,
but let's take off again, and I'll tell you when I have to go."

Well done, Lin. I once had a funny T shirt of Santa on the roof of an outhouse and the reindeer all struggling to stay atop. It read: I said the SCHMITT house, you idiots. Always love that joke. Congrats here.

good one on the old Schmitt house line. I had a T shirt once that had a picture of Santa and his reindeer crammed on top of an outhouse and the shirt says: I said SCHMITT house, you idiots" I even had Xmas cards with the joke. Love how you worked it into a cute rhyme. Congrats

As a girl, you will never know what a shock it is to grab a warm piece of meat with freezing hands, but it usually does not result in, "ho, ho, ho!" Enjoyed!

Oh, this is funny!!! I don't know how Tania will be able to judge this contest, but I'm sure she will. I have read some hilarious ones...and tried to write a few, but nothing I wrote was nearly as funny as this one, Lin. (still chuckling)

I saw a cartoon drawing of his sleigh on top of an outhouse and knew I'd have to write about it for Tania's contest. Thanks for your well wishes, Tom. Have a wonderful weekend, as well. Hugs for you.
