Salvation-Assuring Faith

“Are you 100% sure of going to heaven when you die?” Such was the most haunting question that gripped me as a freshman in a secular university decades ago. That time, I felt that to answer in the negative would be humiliating; and to say yes would doom me to hell, since I really did not know… Looking back, I believe that God actually confronted me through a soulwinner to direct me to Him. Bible studies then enriched my first semester learning in college with the truth of Romans 10:17 upholding me: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Now, called fully to serve the Lord, I ask the same question, and blissfully share the faith that assures eternal life based on the Scriptures, especially John 3:16 and Romans 6:23. Indeed, I thank Jesus Christ for saving me when I put my faith in Him.
