Salty Sonnettier Plus Five
tears well in the corners of his eyes
to race down freshly shaven cheeks
The salt wind with the ebbing tide
excuses them their flight
tangy scent of tidal wake
whets thirst and hunger sharp awake
memories whisper thoughts unspoken
of different times on distant shores
far and fathers' space and time
drift and wither spinning rhyme
spidery white jet streams of cloud
in wet blue dream of sky so loud
The spirits of his self all crowd
and shiver with the wonder
Of all the suns they're under
Watching waves
Bewitched slaves
To ever windblown never
with overflowing eyes
