Saddle Up Them Deer!

Santa Claus has been unemployed all year

On the dole watching TV drinking beer

Ms. Claus was going berserk

Its Christmas time you fat jerk

Get off your duff and saddle up them deer

Robert Hinshaw's poetry sings, and it's his work that caused me to join.

Hi Robert. No wonder this won. You still ride the range, albeit with reindeer. Good one. Eamon

I wish that I could vivify my comments to you and to all better. But I end up babbling and making no sense. So, I will leave you a message today letting you know I did read your poetry and I enjoyed it. I love reading poetry and the poets here are so talented. Have a wonderful day Bob. Love, Carol

Santa may be in for a surprise, Bob! Unemployment benefits extensions haven't been approved by Congress, so he best saddle up them deer. A very witty entry for Francine's contest and you know I always hope to see your poems in the winners' circle. Wishing you success (even if you're leaving us behind to take that cruise -- the green-eyed monster rears her ugly head). Love, Carolyn
