Saddened and Alone

Saddened and Alone There is a great sadness that surrounds me, I am saddened and alone. Even though I am surrounded by people, I am alone, surrounded by sadness alone in the dark. It is like standing in the middle of a great Forrest alone, as the night surrounds the day, until all the light is gone, saddened, and alone. However, I am not in the Forrest surrounded by trees, I am in the middle of a great city surrounded by people, yet I am alone, surrounded by sadness. God said two people are better than one. If one, falls in the city alone, then there’s no one to help him up, or if one is lost in the great Forrest, then there no one to help keep him warm, and if one is surrounded by sadness, alone, then there is no one to help him become happy again ? Surrounded by sadness, I see no one; I am alone in the dark, saddened and alone. Inspired by God, who has revealed my own sadness. Written by, Don Lewis April 28, 2018

Don this is so sad. I feel loneliness is the worst thing you can suffer from.Anything is endurable if you can share it.But my understanding is if you have Faith then you are never alone. It is good that you have joined us.Please keep writing and sharing your emotions good or bad in your poetry.Take care and stay strong.

Oh it s a really sad yet beautifully written poem, you have explained your emotions and feelings really well that how in a middle of a crowd you are alone and you re right that everybody needs a person in their life which can always be present for him, both of them should share their happy as well as sad moments which each other, that s when your life is beautiful, but even if you re alone, life will go on, it will never stop for anyone, you ll still live, good luck and welcome on poetrysoup
