Rust and Ten
Ten little leaves are shaking,
A yellow one drifted down.
Nine little leaves left trembling,
A brown one fell to the ground.
8 little leaves a’blowing,
When a gray one fluttered away;
Seven now left holding,
And an orange one shuffled its way;
Six little heart shapes clinging;
A red one had to let go;
Five little leaves stay hugging,
A green one played the cello;
Four wind-blown leaves began singing;
And a bluebird cited a riddle.
Three little acorns rattling,
One lost his little cap in the middle.;
Two leaves crying and reaching;
One grabbed a limb in the breeze;
One bold old rust colored oak leaf,
Left hanging on the tree.
