Running From Yourself

You run across my mind, but in my heart I hold you back, I don't want to remember that pain, I purposely forget, Because i already know deep in my soul you run with your outter image, That it would take a bulldozer to make you face what you can't finish, So overloaded with pride, it directs your every move, You claim its just the opposite so you don't look like a fool, Living for their image will only wear you down, I saw the truth within your your eyes before you even skipped town, You fight yourself on the regular, your pulled in every direction, Everyone else's opinions block you from seeing your own reflection, Your here, your there, your everywhere.dam straight! You are confused, You can't even sit still for five minutes to contemplate why you do what you do,

I like this poem a lot. Uncanny how it reminds me of me. My twin? Coincidental? Demons are hard to cope with on a one way street and confusion dwells in a bubble, especially when those around me are oblivious to my existence. No drama here. This poem created a flashback, where I, too, threw the fish back in because my heart couldn't take it anymore. But she did have a nice tail. TYVMFSYP.

I don't blame ya, sometimes you have to throw the fish back in and let them swim in their own sh*t...not trying to sound vulgar here, I'm one of the most sensitive n big hearted people you'll ever meet,,and everyone around me knows this about me,,,, when you start to see no love or compassion it eventually only hurts you, and can destroy you personally if you don't throw it back!
