Running From the Rain
RUNNING FROM THE RAIN
... and how often we run from the rain,
a seeming need of something.
We need to escape more than blue drizzle,
but more a running toward the sun,
a seeming need of something
to escape, driving us into the arms of the sun.
We need to escape more than blue drizzle
on a day when clouds are threatening
to escape. Driving us into the arms of the sun
being without sunscreen is it!
On a day when clouds are threatening,
what could be more threatening, then?
Being without sunscreen is it,
the rain, slippery concrete, or the running.
What could be more threatening than
all of this? Oddly,
the rain, slippery concrete, or the running.
We need to escape more than blue drizzle.
All of this, oddly.
... and how often we run from the rain.
