Run Away

I passed open pastures I just wanted to run in Free with the wind in the open air Sit in the grass – alone – safe – Forget about this harsh world Hide from critical people Those who throw salt in my wounds Run away, Run away… People intent on disturbing my peace Trying to dictate my life, MY LIFE A life I try very hard to survive The pain is raw today I feel fragile, blowing like a blade of grass In the wind Run away, Run away… If only I could run away Heidi Sands 8/31/17

So sorry you've had such a rough day Heidi. You sound like you would like to just get away and be on vacation somewhere, am I right? Hi Emma. Yes, a vacation would be really nice! I need one. But, I did get a day trip in today to the ocean and it was so wonderful! It really helped a lot. I hope Russell is doing OK tonight and thank him for me, for such a nice comment on my poem. !! My thoughts are with you both :)
