Another one too late for the contest

must try harder!

--------------------------------

Rose Petals Summer’s gems Romantic blooms On fortified stems A thorny treasure chest Stood in their resplendent best Summer’s first bloom; a lovers gift Alas, grasshoppers leap when they're sniffed So flick them away before she has seen Pray nothing lands on her - six legs and green Then be as romantic as you wish With plans so very noble… ish For no girl can shun a rose Its scent so very sweet Sweeps them off their feet But then she gasps “HAY FEVER!” Her voice Rasps

What a wonderful Etheree write you have here. Maybe you can use it again for another contest. Have a wonderful spring day and a Blessed Easter..........

It was a good Etheree, Terry. Are you taking applications for a secretary to remind you of deadlines? I might want to apply. ;-)

I’ve done more than my share of typing, editing, and writing. I can tell time and read a calendar. Do you need a resume? Lol. Everything going ok?

When I started this poem there was something like 20 entries remaining. Kept trying to get a half decent flow going, shifting lines about etc. Finally decided I’d done my best and found the contest closed. Ho hum! As for the job… do you make good coffee. Plus, i wouldn’t ask staff to do anything I wouldn’t do myself… so you’d need at least five words per minute ;-)
