Romancing the Rose
They carry me in naked
upon their shoulders
and toss me boisterously
on our flower-bedecked nuptial bed.
There is a sweet, musky aroma,
mixed with an intense fragrance
pervading our honeymoon suite.
I look around the room
Illuminated by the sensuous glow
of a myriad candles.
She lies there under
a flower-festooned canopy
covered from head to toe
with rose petals.
Lying softly beside her,
I gently pick a petal
from her each eye--
She opens her eyes and
looks at me alluringly;
With a trembling hand
I pick another petal
from upon her lips--
She gives me a sly smile;
Softly I blow away
the quivering petals
from her ample bosom.
Further down I hastily
pluck another petal,
I swoon enraptured…
She's wearing nothing
but a rose petal dress.
