Climate changes are so very evident in most of the countries these days. Sometimes rivers swell, sometimes they dry up and become almost a trickle. Great image and great haiku.

Valsa, the river was really low this summer because we did not have rain to amount to anything for over a month probably more like 6 weeks then the hurricane came. August is usually a drier month here then we get rains in fall and winter. However, there are wet seasons that last awhile then there are drier years that last for several years. Thanks for dropping by. The extreme heat is very hard on us now as we are older. Sara K

Joseph, yes, a hurricane can leave devastation, but we only got some rain and wind out of Francine here where I live. Some were not so lucky in other places. I feel for all those that were in harm's way. I hope the river came up some because we had gotten dry here over the month of August and part of September. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

Kim, I wonder if the all the rain of yesterday in to the night and up to now has made a difference in its filling back up. Thanks for the visit. You are in the rain zone as well aren't you? Sara K

Such a descriptive haiku this is dear Sara, i love the way you’ve painted imagery, and the picture you’ve used here too goes very well with your haiku! Hope the weather is fine there! Pleasure always reading your work. Sending you light always

IE, we have not had any bad winds or storms. We are under a flood warning for low lying areas, but we are usually okay where we live unless it were to be a 1,000 year flood then I don't know what would happen. Thanks for the kind review of my work. We do not live close to where Francine is traveling but we are in the outer band areas where rain and winds are expected and the possibility of spin off tornadoes. Sara K

Thank you, Arthur. We went out to the river yesterday and it is very low but the rainfall we are having should bring the levels back up. A very dry August here had a very big impact on. Thanks for dropping by. Sara K
