Ripples in the water, glimmer in the sunshine Floating hope toward me, decorated on blue Soothing me with the dreams, I come to find Moving reflections in motion straight through Mesmerized I am, watching the ripples arrive Floating hope toward me, decorated on blue Delicate ripples relaxing me, happy to be alive Fluttering waves of water like dainty butterflies Mesmerized I am, watching the ripples arrive Ripples erasing all the doubts and all the why’s This place I visit, brings such peace to me Fluttering waves of water like dainty butterflies Lilly pads lift one ripple at a time, to see Shimmering in a long path, the water has made This place I visit, brings such peace to me I sit on the grass, watching all this from the shade Ripples in water, glimmer in the sunshine Shimmering in a long path, the water has made Soothing me with the dreams I come to find Heidi Sands 8/24/17 *Placed #1 in the Ripples in the water premier contest.

Lovely poem. I enjoy walking my dogs in the park and love watching the ripples on the lake. Nice one, Heidi.

Hi Klio. I enjoy walking my dog too and many poems come from what I see on my walks. There is also an area here where the ripples are just like this on the water with the breeze. Thank you for your comment :)
