A warm summer night
I gazed into the night sky
fireworks lit up the darkness.
It was the Forth of July and
I was filled with American pride.
Then I began to think about
January 6, 2021 when mad
men and women stormed the
Capital to destroy a peaceful
transfer of power. That day I
did not hate America but it's
people. All because the devil
in disguise would not accept
defeat. He inspired his army
to destroy peace and harmony.
All for his personal gain. When
accused of his crime he claimed
"l did nothing wrong". "Its all a
political witch hunt". Just like
most criminals that refuse to
accept responsibility. He feels
his actions were right and just.
That day our former president
destroyed all that is good in
our country. Good people turned
into rabid animals. God is love,
Trump speaks of hate. I pray
love prevails. America's fate
lies in your hands.
