Rhyming Sedoka

Album clutched by hands trail along reverie’s lane, unraveling soft moments one photo withstands, flickers of time that remain wafting through savored events. Ribbons mark a face changing from beam to twilight, oh last sheet, in disarray where in fond embrace she recalls an autumn plight, losing him in cold war’s fray. Brian Strand's Mid-May Contest

Wonderful and sad. Don't know whether the cold war was the cold war or an allegory for a break-up. Either way--it is sad. Wars of all kinds never usually end well. There was a funny movie that touched upon this idea years ago...The Mouse that Roared. Peter Sellers. Just a bit of satire your poem has brought to mind.

Remembrances splendidly conveyed using sullen, graceful images, and surprising me once more with a twist in the end. Eloquent in its portrayal of war's consequences!
