Notes About The Poem

Revenge Is Sweet

I brought her some flowers and red wine
And I hoped that one day she'd be mine
Crept round the back quietly
And I was aghast to see
Her naked with the neighbour, the swine...

"I was just being neighbourly," said he
My ex could not even look at me
I saw her phone and real quick
Took a compromising pic
Then sent it to her friends and family...

Sometimes our revenge is so justifiable. She deserves it. Well written, dear Tom.

You have all angles covered here Tom, even used her phone to take the pictures, and forward them around her circle, so no recriminations on your part! Some serious shenanigans going on in these Lim’s lol! Cheers David

Thank you David, good job it wasn't a gun lying around. In her defence if he's not giving she's going to stray. Tom

Tom, the subject of fidelity is a great topic and your work here certainly makes us laugh. What a situation!! At least he didn't say...."Would you mind if I join in?" BTW, I learned a long time ago that being faithful is a major part of a successful marriage. I've never cheated on the bride although opportunities to do so arose. None of that would be worth hurting her. The long-term damage greatly outweighs any short-term satisfaction of animal desires. Hope you are well, satisfied, and happy!

Thanks Duke, I agree being faithful is the glue that holds you together. Yet many live on the edge risking everything for a quick roll in the hay. I've read about the heartbreak it causes in families especially if there's children involved. We all look at pretty ladies, it's in our dna. Look but don't touch lol. Tom

I guess she’s never lived it down, with that picture doing the rounds. I know someone this happened to, she divorced the rat of a husband and never looked back… Beryl

Thank you Beryl, a shame when that really happens, pity she didn't cotton on to his behaviour before tying the not, at least she's OK now. Hope you're both OK. Tom
