Reunite
The snow fell hard
But you fell harder
You fell into a deep sleep
And no one has been able to wake you
You lay cold
And just about lifeless
But I remember
Remember that you are not really gone
Yes physically
But you are still here spiritually
And you will guide me
Guide me through life
Guide me in the right direction
Keep me safe
Until one day, I too will fall into a deep slumber
In which no one will be able to awaken me
And when that day comes
You my friend and I shall reunite
And although you may be gone for a while without me, you will always be with me
Never forgotten, always remembered, always loved
And I will miss you desperately
But I remember
Remember that I will reunite with you once again, my friend
That one day, we will be together yet again
And I long for the day
But I am needed here on the physical world
But one day, I will be granted the gift to come to you and reunite with you
And we will be together
And be happy once more
But there is no pain greater than having to live on—without you, my friend
Until I remember that I will be by your side once again, happy
And we shall meet again
And we shall be reunited
But until then my friend
I will try to swallow the idea of you not being here
And I will continue on in life
And I shall cherish life…in your memory
But only until we are reunited
