Returns
cardinal from sky
returns to back yard
leaves once sprouts
summer to fall
seed to tree
back to seed again
lake shimmers
after early rain
reflections of
birth and death
passages of
day and night
the wonders seasons offer
under endless skies
the morning sun
watches passages
day to night
and back again
