Return To Thee

When darkness floods over my soul Threatening that which makes me whole, Dark somber thoughts o’ershadow me Help me, Lord, to return to Thee. When fear consumes my aching heart Peace eludes when we are apart Make me yearn for sweet Calvary Help me, Lord, to return to Thee. When I have hidden from your grace And turned aside with sullen face Without you I must always flee Help me, Lord, to return to Thee. written April 30, 2022
