Resting Under Tarmac Covers

I'm in the parking lot of the church Just waiting But churches don't have parking lots... Especially old ones So I'm not sure how many graves I'm resting on Of people who had no people left to object to tarmac covers Whilst churches concerned themselves With getting people through the doors Because it was ok to create a carpark As time had passed Maybe I'll look it up Because there is a flood light here In place to keep me safe Whilst others rest in promised peace And I don't know who to trust

The diseased probably wont mind. Cause the weight of your car keeps weeds from growing. There is nothing sadder that a grave covered with ugly weeds. It screams " No one cares about me"

It just struck me as interesting - it's not something they'd include in the brochure x

I think I read too much into disingenuity - I mean promises such last over a 100 years right?

I'm sure you can trust the priest, right?

If anyone is planning to tarmac over me it won't be a priest as I don't know any (anymore)

It sounds like you found a final resting place. Poem has a funny side and a scary side. It's very interesting.

It is ridiculous when you imagine all the care and attention just for a few years to pass and tarmacking looks like a reasonable thing to do for convenience
