Rest and Shelter
How intense is the silence of tomorrow
Yet, hope lays waiting in anticipation
Like morning dew clings to blades of grass
Yearns for the warmth of the sun
Breathless, she pants, ever alive
Reaching afar with out stretched arms
As a Mother for a suckling child
She bids, ‘come, drink deep of my saving grace’
O, that our weary eyes would be lifted
Off the beaten paths to see the brilliant light of day
Waiting forever just within our grasp
To find rest and shelter in quiet beauty
