Too true, thanks for reposting And over this year the results of the enquiry have been delayed again, this time by covid.

I remember this one! God know exactly where their bodies are and who the murderers are. Wow, sobering and heinous...so many awful things happen! I also think about kidnapped teens. Shaking my head. Love ya, Mo. I think to remember the missing Is so important.

Thank you for reposting this powerful poem, mo. Sadly inequality in life follows people to their deaths. Until a majority speaks out, nothing will change. Love and blessings, Rhonda xx

Thank you Rhonda! Hopefully, with people marching across this nation, speaking out about the systemic racism endured by our First Nations and black citizens, true change will come. xomo

Countless women have gone missing in Canada. A quiet genocide. Thank you Judy. Warm hugs, xomo

Inequality sprang into full force in America when the women began shouting down the Equal Rights for Women amendment. It is crazy but we have lost more ground than we have gained since the 60's. It is not the age of the women yet. But it is my hope it will be some day. Your poem makes vast amounts of sense in my world.

Thank you dear. Religion and politics are sadly for the most part men's domain, and for the most part they want to keep it that way; forever fearing what they cannot control, and control they must. Just ask Eve...

Inequality is still alive and kicking! Janice

I agree there are many. Still a mans world out there, for those who feel they are entitled just because they were born in the right gene, hah, soul smart aboriginal still got the strength of their ancestry, so I pray one day we find the strength to right the wrongs, if it ever happens, Love your poem by the way xo

So sad and at the same time infuriating! Your sense of injustice is real here, and I love the spacing with the "WHY"s emphasized in that manner. Well done.

Thank you so much Caroline. I am hoping today's discussions lead to real change, the systemic racism within the police construct plays a huge part in this crisis as well. All that aside, warm hugs! ;), xomo

Horrifying acts of violence against innocent women that leaves mankind wondering why things like that happen without justice to be served. Excellent writing dearest P.T. Blessings my friend!

I think I remember reading this, it is so sadly true that many crimes are not brought to justice- (and yes, every woman knows why)

I really don't know how much news about it reaches outside of Canada. The description that sticks with me is that of a slow moving genocide. Thank you, hugs. xomo

This is sad Maureen. It is good to keep reminding people of injustices until the world takes time to listen. I wrote a piece titled “Shattering Rose Coloured Glasses” a while ago for an Art Exhibit at The University of British Columbia. It dealt with white privilege and the injustices that are the foundation of our current system..

The conversation at least is forefront. I am blessed to live in richly diverse neighbourhood, plenty of immigrants and indigenous, mixed French & English, mixed economic status, people smile and say hello. Around the corner from the Islamic school and the bikers church and the native community centre. xomo

Ah, well it is holy men who preach silence is golden, isn't it? what did you expect from a world where brothers murder their sister for their family honour? One of my Mayflower ancestors was publicly flogged for choosing life rather than death upon being sodomised by a church member who was only denied church service! That is 400-years without justice! Aloha! Rico

You may wish to purchase the June 2020 edition of National Geographic for updated information (the cover features WWII, but after that, the current status of women in this world). Aloha! Rico

To quote myself, in an early post, old poem (why) "the first thing he did was kill tht goddess b*tch". Sigh. Yup, I firmly believe we are quarantined from the rest of the universe, for their safety. RSD on this pancake we call Earth. xomo

Thank you dear. None of the recommendations put forward by the commission have been acted upon a year after the Enquiry 'completed'. Of course, you may tell from my rendering that the enquiry itself was just throwing money at the problem to save face. Social inequity is what makes them vulnerable. I want to know who & why these men "are". xomo

Did they even look? Just can't understand some cultures, they still live in the dark ages. Tom

I disagree. Rich cultures whose dark age came when the Americas were settled by Imperialists. Of course they looked; all up and down "The Highway of Tears". These women are hunted by white men still to this day.
