Remembering When
I remember when . . .
I lost my father, suddenly
He was a man of quotes and sayings
Dad, was my rock and my foundation
Now, part of my heart is ever missing
I remember when . . .
I lost my mother, so sick
She was warm, kind and so loving
Mom, was my best friend, my anchor
Now, part of my heart is ever missing
I remember when . . .
Standing in the cold, alone
In this world lost, wandering, weeping
I was gliding with no anchor to hold me
An orphan with no one, just me, floating
