Remembering
Just yesterday
We laughed about life;
Now you are gone
Plain and simple
Conversations;
Brief haunting echoes
Words and gestures
In another time;
Ghostly murmurs linger
Grief is a thief
Stealing precious time;
Wonder stands still
No pain can dilute
Joy lives sublime;
Love transcends death
When death comes
To fracture time;
Each floats to heaven
Here and now I
Sense a boundary;
Stuff that sublimates
Seems like yesterday
Sandwiches today;
Tomorrow just follows
Earthly time and space
Finite symbols sign;
Eternity awakening
Bordering the brink
Here for a mere wink;
Rapture yet re-claims
Simple conversations
Waiting on the wind;
Echoes continue
