Remembering

I find you in a weariness that confuses to set my purpose free - in a refuge of tears that call upon stars to hold me captive within a the lump of murky dust spent in your arms. You chase me in reveries when my pulse is still and my slit-eye is wrought with need. Though felt in whispers blown against my fevered skin, I feel this monologue of ache that reminds me once again you're no longer here. When I seek you in memories that remain in one last breath - the echo of your sighs rakes me from this hollow existence, and this haunting wire of moments pinches the cry of a single goodbye.
