The word planet means wanderer in Greek, Venus being the brightest of them all, In the Milky Way stars are there to seek, Pluto was once a planet I recall. When the Moon is shining none can compare, It's beauty and grace it captures the night, She shines for all and for all that is fair, The war planet Mars gives off a red light. Zeus is Jupiter for his massive size, All the planets can fit into his sphere, Father of the gods and gracefully wise, Many stars come out on a night that's clear. So lie next to me and stare up above, And we can rekindle our starry love.

White Wolf, such a lovely poem, and I like how you coupled the romance of the sky with that of your heart. Congratulations on your placement in this Premiere Contest. Sandra

Hello White Wolf. Good Evening. You give us an education. Yes, I've heard Zeus being the father. I love the sky whether night or day. Your words are more than lovely. Your ending is endearing and filled with love. Well done in its entirety.

First 12 lines, the stars capture those on earth; the last 2 lines, those on earth capture the stars. Precisely what a sonnet should be, namely lovely, in addition to being a technical challenge. John
