Rejection

Nail my heart to the wall while your at it It’s not working quite right after your anti confession It’s okay though cause I don’t really want it Forgotten in the veins were my bits of hope Glimmering in a red moon and oozing alone I’ll walk like a confidence man With my hands behind my back Hiding the small beating creature inside It’s okay, you don’t need to see it Relentlessly pounding to catch up Sticking with the tick of the time Young vulnerable flesh has grown Taken the place of a seething hole A heart that was marked invalid Marred from failure Shrunk 3 sizes in fear

You poured out pain, I read the errors in the poem but it rather made the mood you put into it come out genuine. I saw a confused young man, heart broken talking to himself.
