Reflections of a Superstorm
Storm warnings are out,
There is talk of an approaching hurricane,
Our minds are racing,
Do we have enough time to prepare
Before the approaching devastation?
It's been five years since
Sandy came up the coast,
And swerved into the New Jersey Shore,
Atlantic City will never be the same
After feeling her mighty punch,
Life will never be the same as before the storm,
What made her move the way she did?
Oh, the destruction she caused!
And the lives she took!
We wonder why God would allow this to happen,
We wonder could we have been better prepared
Ahead of the approaching storm?
But storms are so unpredictable,
What lessons will we learn
Before the next storm approaches?
Only time will tell.
