Reflecting On the Year 2020
It’s hard to believe the year has arrived
When everything points to destruction
People cannot muster a way to revive
Because of virus and fear of obstruction
People sporting masks and rubber gloves
Showing the world that a virus kills nerve
Making others unable to fulfill their loves
Allowing most the answers in all they serve
The impossible moment comes as we risk
Taking on the dangers of coming into contact
With a disease that leaves one feeling brisk
Because of the way that it seems to attack
Wherever you go there is little doubt inside
That this year has brought something to life
Malady that is so strong from it we cannot hide
Making us aware that we have certain strife
This is the time that we will always recall
As the day of disease from which we run
Hoping to learn to let go of what we appall
Having faith that 2020 marks the virus done
