Refining consciousness
When we see not God’s face, it’s fall from grace,
there being no adequate substitute,
so in staid stillness, our steps we retrace,
remaining vigilant and resolute.
Myriad dark desires twirl us around
but negating each such impulse received,
aligned with love, we firmly stand our ground,
no longer by patterns of old deceived.
Ego identity is the blockage,
easily removed, choosing to be still
and thus in timeless time, coming of age,
surrendering will, voids within us fill.
There’s no fixed time frame for soul to ascend
and it matters not, since life is a dream,
where all we need to do, is gently bend,
reflecting light, like a joyful moonbeam.
