For the 'Recognition' Poetry Contest of unseeking seeker

______________________________________________________________________-

Line of Inquiry: “Mistaken that I was this body-mind, I succumbed to desire and fell to fear but on choosing pathways loving and kind, light of God in heart began to appear and truth of my true essence became clear, which made in God’s image, is living light, gripping us in rapture of bliss delight.” - Unseeking Seeker Oh to rid oneself of human weakness, let go of fears and not give in to lust. Oh to see the finish of one’s bleakness by putting in God’s hands one’s total trust. To open up clarity’s sweet portal and understand God’s truth should be the goal and strive to be more than a mere mortal. Oh to really feel God in one’s soul! The year is ending; let me wisely choose the path of love and kindness – God’s own way. A person gains when he’s prepared to lose self-centeredness. For all mankind I pray we recognize God’s light and let it shine - to bring a world of bliss – God’s peace divine.

Andrea, a very well composed sonnet about what can make some of us whole in this world of temptations and diversions. More love and kindness and thinking about the welfare of others would definitely make this world a better place.

TOTAL trust in God is THE answer to much of what plagues us. Why, then, are some (including me) at times able to give Him only partial trust!? Your sonnet is deeply reverent and moving. Janice

A lovely sonnet that sounds like an invocation to God, asking for blessings for all, at the start of the New Year. Wish you Andrea, a New year of health and happiness!

Andrea, you have expressed in poetry much wisdom indeed! Giving and loss of self-centeredness does give one a great sense of happiness. It takes someone who has tried it to realize it is true. Have a great year...smiles!!

Oh, such Truth, such a beautiful essence in words. I love Unseeking Seekers and your poems here. This has been a really hard year for me. The two of your poems present as a sweet dance, or complementary incense to my very soul. I love this so much.
