Reborn

When each tear falls from your face of sadness To spill upon the earthen floor of time They'll flow with the relentless winds of madness And fall into hellish worlds you must climb In this blackness, you must willingly go Face terrible anguish from your desire To find its burning pit you'll come to know As your heart's blood burns in a blaze of fire To cleanse your ashen soul so it returns With charred teary pages of love to fold To keep in the library of your burns With books of lasting scars from love that's old Goodbyes are the fingers that rip the soul To face love's depths of hell can make you whole 3/19/18

"Goodbyes are the fingers that rip the soul," THAT is poetry. Written from the grips of a wounded heart. Beautiful, Frederic.
