Inside my aging heart, a lively child still thrives.
She urges me to reach beyond my comfort zone
to resurrect my canceled dreams and give them lives.
My giving up on goals, she simply can’t condone.
I reason, “I’m too old for some plans left behind.
I must be realistic; there’s not time for all!”
She says, “Pursue the ones most often on your mind.
You do have time for progress, but no time to stall.”
