RATIONALE A poem is one way to think out loud Addressing all the thoughts in one’s own head To share, responding to a willing crowd A rhyming verse unlikely to be dead The future’s bright, demanding ever more And not accepting lazy words instead The vein of words is rich and never poor Analysis can sometimes halt the flow The heart still beats, surviving all I’m sure The pace to voice the words may just be slow Yet resonance will last and maybe grow
