This is my first attempt at putting a photo in here.  If I can get it to work, I will later add some of my paintings.

I have included a brief poem with it - true story.

One day I came upon a rainbow, lasting longer than ever before It went from the mountain to the cloud, and also a full 'double' even more. It had been a sad day , my friend's dog passed away Then this rainbow appeared almost from heaven, bringing light upon sorrow that day. Heidi Sands 6/15/17

Hi Heidi, I can empathize with your friend as when our little dog passed away it was a sorry occasion and we vowed never to get another one again no matter how cute. Nice poem...Maria BTW have you ever see a rainbow from an aircraft - it is an awesome rare sight as it's a perfect circle.

Hi Maria. Thank you for your kindness. I appreciate your understanding for my friend. It is so very difficult losing a pet. I once lost a dog years ago on my birthday and it was devastating. No, I haven't seen a rainbow from an aircraft as you describe. That must be amazing to see! Thanks for sharing that :)

Only heaven Charlie...where the rainbow seemed to come from.

All dogs go to heaven:) Very sad, Heidi. If something were to happen to ol Buddy, I'm sure it would take more than a rainbow to cheer me up.

Yes, I do understand Daniel. If something happened to my Bella, I would feel the same way. I would be devastated. However, I would also hold onto the rainbow in mind if I saw it. :)

A joy to read Heidi- your poem is tinged with sadness but the ending is so uplifting - I read on one poem a rainbow is an upside down smile from god and the picture and poem show this is correct:-) hugs Jan xx

Thank you! Yes, it just happened to be the story behind the photo. I am happy you found it uplifting at the end. I like your thoughts about the upside smile from God :)

A sad but beautiful poem and a fantastic photo Heidi. I love how it looks like it is running right through that cloud.

Thanks Chris. It was a beautiful site at the mountain. A double rainbow fully over the road, and the longest lasting one I had ever seen :)
