Rain
As I set here quiet,
I gather my thoughts.
I pray without the pomp...
of a beginning or an end.
As He is always with me.
I am waiting for the drops,
from a spring or summer storm.
I am longing to be comforted,
by the sweetness of drizzle...
on green leaves. (whispered)
Yet days are full,
of waves,
tsunami's;
floods suddenly upon the land...
created by storms still far out to sea.
Not always directly in my path,
but just as violent at times.
Bowing my head,
I call to my Savior... (a plea)
Set them free.
Keep them safe,
and show them,
the value of their souls,
fought for and paid for,
by Your Own Blood.
When the torrent reaches the land,
on which I stand...
I know that it is, a solid rock.
Waiting here, I will gather...
what I can;
to help the survivors...
reach the shore.
Your grace,
Your justice,
Your peace.
You.
Amen.
