Quivering When Alone
Quivering when I'm all alone
From the misery locked away
Keeping me frozen to the bone
As my heart quietly decays
Hiding my true self from the world
Quivering when I'm all alone
My demons relentlessly furled
While I fight to keep them unknown
From all my sins I must atone
Or eternity spent in hell
Quivering when I'm all alone
Fearing loved ones I must dispel
Thanks to the secrets I harbor
Negative acts none would condone
Stripped of my internal armor
Quivering when I'm all alone
