Quaint Island home I adore my quaint Island home Where the blue sea stretches for miles On verdant hills I often roam Strolling through lush meadows and stiles City life does not attract me I adore my quaint Island home It’s a place I’d love you to see On golden sands I can beach comb Paddling in the waves and white foam On a glorious summer’s day I adore my quaint Island home It is here I will always stay I should write a poetry book, perhaps I could write a thick tome of poems about where I live - I adore my quaint Island home! Congrats on your win with this beautiful poem, Jan. I can relate to your poem as I am not a big fan of city life too. Though I live in city, I have always had a thing for country life.

Your island sounds a lot like my island, only mine is a bit more tropical, but both are a beautiful green. I love this entry and all the pictures that you have shared with it Jan. it looks so beautiful. I would love to visit one day if maybe only in a travel log. This is beautifully penned and I hope to see it on the winner's list! : )

Aww thanks Arthur:-) There is a lot of poetic licence in the final verse - my book will be my humourous poop poems lol but seriously the Island is pretty safe and secure and very beautiful and I love the ever changing scenery especially when we drive down a hill when we are heading home and I can see the sea:-) hugs Jan xx
