Purple Eros
Your piercing blue eyes delightfully unman me.
Like red pomegranates are your lips unaffected
By mine, yet O how I desire to be caressed
By them, and return that caress with silent plea.
Your swept back dark hair overcomes reason, you see.
Every gesture enflames passion felt unreasoned
And every hope for consummation is delayed.
To my lusting heart, you hold the orichalc key.
I am your Ganymede and willing Patroclus.
You are my Zeus and my heroic Achilleus.
With your look askew, you unleash purple Eros.
By your side, horror does not exist anymore
Nor is life vain, insignificant or a bore
If love cannot grasp you, then I am in chaos.
