Purgatory or Rest Stop

As a catholic belief, purgatory (especially its supposed tortures) is mostly thanks to Dante's imagination. The word or concept is not found in either the Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) or Greek scriptures (New Testament.) I use it as fodder for my humorous verse. Thanks for stopping by. / Maurice
