Pure Poetry

Today I found myself Deeply contemplating the word EVOLUTION Before we even start I wish to say I am not Speaking on the evolution of man Where man comes from I have never questioned at all The evolution I speak of Is the evolution of our friendship and love Where it is today And where it will go in the future As I contemplate these things I just can’t help but smile Because I am lucky enough to be one half Of One of the greatest love stories ever told We learned to bend time for each other We battled our demons for each other We changed our entire lifestyle for each other We each taught our self to love our self And our Lord So we would be able to give each other The type of love we deserve There is no jealousy between us Because we know where home is And we know It is exactly where we belong Our arguments have became no more Than a softly spoken glance For we each treasure and respect The way the other feels Sweetheart you have brought peace To the awful pain of my yesterdays You are my today And you will forever be my tomorrow It was your love That taught me my hearts greatest blessing Your love taught me That it is not the words that make the poem It is the poem that puts together the words And our love is no less Than Pure Poetry

Michael, I just arrived home today after being in North Carolina for a couple of weeks. I believe that true love comes from being there for each other through the good and the bad - in sickness and in health - just as the vows say. There is no greater power than love. You writing just like you has grown immensely since you joined us here at the soup. God bless you and good luck in the finals. Your freind, Lainie P.s. I am so looking forward to receiving your books.

Hello, Michael ! Wanted to thank you for visiting me and for your comment on my poem. Actually it was dedicated to my daughter who moved to another State 3 years ago. I enjoy your poetry very much. This particular poem is very spiritual and reminded me Baruch Spinoza, I mean philosophically. I will read more of your works. Appreciate your warm greetings to me, Marina:)) By the way, I forgot to mention that my poem is a song (with a European accent): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyPPJjJ0BUQ

That's a very passionate write...it draws a smile on the reader's face:) Thank you for sharing... To answer your question: I am actually Palestinian, but I live in Dubai. Jordan and Palestine were one united country long time back, but as you know, unity is joined by inequality and separation when bitter war takes over. Most of my family members live in Jordan so it's basically a place we go to spend our summer vacation in every year... Take good care, Farah

Good Morning Michael,I've already posted on your poem here, but wanted to tell you that I enjoyed reading your daughter's poetry very much! Lovely write!! How nice for her to have joined us! Also..another small coincidence besides the fact that we are neighbors.....my daughter's married last name is Friedman....so similar to your Sarah's last name...just thought that was kind of funny! I have a lovely daughter...and I can tell from your girl's poem, that you do too!!! We are blessed!.....Carrie

Michael, What beauty and insight - especially in the last para. This is what true love is all about. Sensational writing. Michael, I do hope you will write a novel one day. A memoir of your life. It is a story that should be told. Can you please email me at elaine.george@sympatico.ca as I would like to purchase your books of poetry. God bless! Lainie
