Prophecy

Totems say it’s time for the Blue Star’s arrival; prophecy must be fulfilled and Buffalo Calf Woman, never lies. Prophets view an incomplete future but, one that will most likely be. Every race, religion, holy book, issues prophecy but, in numerous ways. Hereditary prophets, the seventh child of the seventh child; are born to it. There are heavenly signs, some prophets read; have dreams or visions, for others, leaves, bones, cards, runes or rocks tell some prophets more than that. The seventh child, many lack choice; they’ll be born with a caul. Prophets are never acknowledged, in their own time. Instead, they’re often the victims of jokes; greatly maligned; some are even murdered by those who don’t understand or fear them. Necessary, they warn of the coming terrors; though, their warnings often remain unheeded. Prophets are, walking crystal balls; those who do heed their shouts will suffer as those who don’t. A sad fact of human nature, skeptics cut their own throats; fools imagine they have ultimate knowledge but, possess nothing.
