Promises

I
Quote by Poet: Time may be relative, but not an earthly friend; appointments and promises must be respected in what remains of human civilization.

II
Father Joe DeMino brought a word
In time, without time -
The promises given by God
Are huge, beyond boggling the mind
No fairy story, or "happily ever after,"
Can match Jesus' promises
(Ephesians 2; John 14-17, Matthew 11)

III
John the baptizer was a great prophet
When beheaded by Herod
Jesus mourned. Yet said before he was dead:
"Of men born to women, there is none greater than John,"
- remember John's dad was a famous priest, too!
But Jesus promised us more:
"But he who is least in The Kingdom will do greater things than John."
What promises of gadgets & gold
Can compare with Jesus's promises?

Coach Bill, Jesus sent U to have me keep on keeping on. This field among "townships & 'Clourwds' of Newtown' in S. Africa, is most challenging. A majority prefer the good life at welfare, state, or others' loss. Shalom shalom
