Prisoner

A prisoner here in his prisoner’s cell, Imprisoned here all alone, Alone with his thoughts thinking away, Everything that he has known, His memories of when he did what he did, He happily did what he chose, When he did all those small, beautiful things, When he walked along all of the roads, But now his walk is confined to his mind, His walk is a small concrete cell, Where he sees each step of those before, Who walked their way into hell, This prisoner’s life confined in this cell, Confined to a life in his head, Confined and imprisoned unable to walk, Alone by himself till he’s dead.

This is really sad and heartbreaking, Lewis. If only people could truly understand and know the consequences, many might not make the big mistakes in the first place. All the best to you. :) ~ Artsie
