Presidential Supporter Takes On God

BP knew on February Thirteenth Of structural flaws in the well beneath Goldman Sachs sold its stock It should come as no shock The Lord in heaven is grinding his teeth *Goldman Sachs was the number two contributor to the Obama campaign and suspicion has surfaced as to why the White House has inadequately monitored offshore drilling and has been slow to act on stopping the oil spill. GS sold nearly 60 percent of its BP stock before the April 20th explosion. Coincidence? Insider trading?

Thanks so much, Carolyn for your support with this enlightening presentation of this particular human foible. May people put on the consciousness of their idle acts against our treasure nature. Congratulations on a job well done. Agape, Moses

I don't think we can really know if this is true, Carolyn. There are lots of convincing-sounding arguments for the 9/11 conspiracy theories too and yet few believe them. WEll, I think this is a very nicely composed limerick! LUv ya, Andrea

I think perhaps that we forget that all this drilling did not start in this president term. He inherited these problems. A good poem and this situation does need to be addressed by all of us. Thank you Carolyn for my placement in your Hands contest. I am humbled as I read the others. Love, Joyce

Holy Mother of Mary- forgive us, for we know not- Holy Father of Joseph- redeem us, from a great loss- The few outnumber the many- The lewd has reduced the plenty- Amen

Sounds suspicious, doesn't it? But he's not Martha Stewart. It's no wonder, "The Lord in heaven is grinding his teeth'

Nice one. And I definitely had not heard of what you asterisked until now. Kind of frightening, I hope it's nothing too bad. Oh and thanks for the comment on my poem "One Word" you guessed them both right, I think the words I put in quotations were supposed to be hints if you still want to figure out the second. :) Destiny

Very interesting poetic reporting, Ms. Devonshire! Being the ostrich with my head in the sand and the optimist with my heart in the clouds, I have one more question. How does all of this help or hurt overseas oil industry? Yes, God is grinding His teeth for sure! About MANY THINGS! And now, perhaps understanding will surface. That is if contention, the devil's tool, doesn't dig out the last sprigs of love among mankind. Great write, my friend. Love, Dane

Interesting Limerick, Carolyn. Did you know that aboot 16 million liters of oil are spilled every day from the leak? Thanks for your comment on cotton fields. Did you see the picture of a hoopoe in my facebook album? They are really cute birds. I think that posting poems in different languages would be more interesting, a pity that my French is not so good to do so. Have a nice week and good success with the clean up job....Love, Gert
