Predictable
I thought I had known you so well,
could predict what you’d do when
you discovered at the end of the day
the true me you hadn’t known yet.
I believed you’d cry your heart out,
for you thought I was predictable,
transparent mind you saw through,
but you turned to monsoon unstable.
Instead of rain the sky showered shine,
gleamed your smile, you walked away,
leaving me wondering if in unsure life
destiny made us all failed Nostradamus.
